Teeth are out. Surgery went well. It was funny, I was in the chair talking to the doctors and whatnot, then I was done. I didn't feel sleepy or drowsy, or have any weird dreams. I was just boom gone and then suddenly awake with a face full of gauze.

I'm puffy, swollen, sore and bleeding a little more than I'd like right now... But I'm not in too much pain overall. Then again, I'm still largely frozen so we'll see what happens.

Btw, guys, the random txts calling dibs on my stuff (and even Eric) before going in. Nice. Real nice. =P

I'm hungry, but I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled in a few hours so I'm not supposed to eat or drink anything. >.<

I know it's all going to be fine and dandy, and I'm not scared, but I've never had anything done where I had to be put under general anaesthetic before so I'm pretty nervous.

...Tried to talk Eric into asking if he could record the procedure for me so I could watch it afterwards. As you can probably imagine, he declined. lol

Fuck me.

The Presets and Ladytron will both be playing shows here the weekend I get my wisdom teeth out.

Mika will be playing at the Orpheum next month. I think I may go.

Went to C&L the other day and discovered that a friend of mine from elementary school works there now, so I got to catch up with her which was very cool. Seems that even though it's been ten/eleven years, when you go to school in a primarily Asian dominant area, the pale freckly redheads are not forgotten. ;)

Catching up with a lot of people lately come to think about it. It's been great. It's been a really great few months just in general actually... I put some not so pleasant shit behind me, realized a few important things, and just kind of moved on with my life. It was very... Healthy? lol

The best part is that Eric hasn't worked a single evening or night shift in quite some time. Seriously, not a single one. Granted, we have different days off and do our own separate things... But still. He's done shift work the majority of our whole relationship, so to be on similar schedules is awesome. We're one of those weird couples where the more time we spend together, the better we get along. The less time we're together the more we fight.

Oh. And, yeah. I have an iPod Touch, just incase I hadn't expressed my full enthusiasm yet. >.> *squee*

Dr. T called me about half an hour ago... You know it's going to be interesting when she of all people calls my cell at 12:00am on what is a work night for both of us.

Ok. So I won't get into details seeing as no one else really knows yet and it's not my place to air someone else's issues... But what I can say is that, long story short, it has ended with her giving her letter of resignation effective January 31st.

Now, how exactly does one sleep after such news? I must say I'm finding it rather difficult.

Got to check out Fright Night at Playland. Worth the $25 admittance fee? No. Maybe it would have been had we stopped to think that a Halloween event taking place at Playland on a Saturday night might be something that may in fact attract every single stupid stoner teenager away from their busy lives of night time park loitering to venture out into the city... But hanging out with Beefy/Orge/Matt (whatever we're calling him these days, lol) and his new girlie was. Maybe just for the Pirate Ship alone. Haha. (You had to have been there. Priceless.)

I mean... There were a few cool things, like fire dancers, and...

Ogre came over today and slaved away with Eric in the kitchen to make a very lovely dinner. Hehe. It's nice to have chefs for friends... Sometimes I'm tempted to see if there is any way to bribe him into taking Eric away for a week and sending him back a decent cook. LOL

The three of us went out and saw Elizabeth: The Golden Age afterwards. Fun. Some bits felt a little choppy, and it definitely lacked the depth the first one portrayed, but it was still good none the less. Costume and set design was especially spectacular.

Buddy passed away last week, followed by Kitty the very next evening. Kitty was pushing twenty years now and hasn't been in the greatest health, so it was kind of expected, but Buddy was only three so that was a shock. He somehow managed to ingest a large bar of soap when no one was home and suffered serious chemical burns throughout his mouth, throat and stomach. He had a pretty bad heart and the doctor apparently said it was very likely the anaesthetic itself would kill him if they tried to put him under.

I'm really going to miss them. Especially Kitty. He may have been a grumpy little thing to most people most of the time, but we clicked right off the bat. He was the only thing that kept me sane when we were living there a few years back...

In a morbid way it's actually kind of funny. Kitty's been in such bad health for awhile, but I swear it's almost like he was hanging on with everything he had because he wasn't going to let that silly dog outlive him... It really would be just like him to do that too. Haha.

So I went in this morning to finish up my little impromptu root canal from last week. Turns out there was some stupid hidden deductable from our insurance plan and I had to pay quite a bit more than we thought. Even my dentist was surprised.

The root canal portion is now done, but I still have to go back in next week to get it all covered up. And it gets better... My top left wisdom tooth poked through my gum line the other night.

Went in to see the dentist about a cavity that had been bugging me and getting it filled... Halfway through she suddenly says very loudly, "OK! Change of plans!" and starts telling her assistant what gear to start pulling out.

Never something you want to hear from a doctor mid-procedure. lmao. My little cavity filling turned into a root canal. Woohoo!

There some craziness over here the other day too. I was not feeling very well and had a nap after work... While I was asleep someone came along my side of the house (Eric was at work and all my windows along that side were wide open too), went into Rob's side via their sliding glass door, and ripped his laptop out of the wall. All this while they were in the next room!

So he calls the cops and they come over... And promptly find less than an ounce of weed in the other room of his place while filling out their report. They didn't actually arrest him, but apparently they handcuffed him and some other stuff. I'm a little unclear on the exact details but they must have fined him or something because he's got to deal with that crap now.

That's just wrong on so many levels.

So what's the big hush-hush birthday present of mine that we've been so secretive about lately?

You know what is rather unpleasant? Waiting and waiting to hear back from someone on something rather important... I know this person is going to get back to me soon, but we're on day three now and I think my little brain is about to explode.

I'm not good with this patience thing.
